Development of scientific temperament among students need of the hour: DSEK

District Level Model Exhibition organized in unison with Department of Science and Technology

Srinagar, Oct 09 : Stating the development of scientific temperament among students as the need of the hour, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo has said that the Department of School Education is taking necessary steps regularly to attract students towards this subject and to develop interest in the students towards it. Referring to the different science competitions and exhibitions organized by the Department during the current session DSEK stressed upon all the students to take active part in these types of activities. DSEK stated these views during the prize distribution ceremony of District Level Science Model Exhibition at GHSS Kothibagh organized by Directorate of School Education Kashmir and Department of Science and Technology. During this exhibition about a dozen models were put for exhibition by different schools of the District which include GHSS Kothibagh, GHSS Amira Kadal, GHSS Rajbagh, GHSS Nawakadal, GHSS Rajbagh, S P Higher Secondary Institute, BHSS Jawaharnagar, Green Valley Educational Institute and Burn Hall School.
The students of Green Valley Educational Institute and GHSS Kothibagh were among the winners of the model exhibition.
Speaking on the occasion Joint Director Department of Science and Technology Dr. Mehraj ud din appreciated the cooperation rendered by the administration of the GHSS Kothibagh during the Science Model Exhibition and said that it is the need of the hour to promote these kind of activities at the school level as well. Principal GHSS Kothibagh Romana Qazi welcomed the guests and also stated that the interest of the students for this exhibition was encouraging. The coordinator of the Science Model exhibition Nuzhat Fatima threw light on the different aspects of this model exhibition while hosting the ceremony.
