MLA Ganderbal calls on Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam
Informed him about several serious developmental issues relating to his Constituency which require high priority attention.
Srinagar:Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar,Member J&K Legislative Assembly from Ganderbal, called on Chief Secretary J&K, Shri B V R Subrahmanyam at Civil Secretariat here in Srinagar today and apprised him with various issues regarding his Constituency. He raised the issue of CUK, HEP-II, Pandach-Beehama Road Widening, District Hospital Ganderbal, Unani Hospital Nawabagh, Cluster for willow workers, Fruit Mandi Zazna, Khirbhawani Tullamulla road widening besides other issues and demands.
With regard to the dearth of Doctors and paramedicos staff & other facilities in district hospital Ganderbal, *Chief Secretary informed MLA Ganderbal that there is good news for the people of Ganderbal as the Ganderbal Hospital which is till date sub district hospital is being upgraded to the level of District Hospital and for which the order will be issued in near future and I assure you that all the vacancies of the doctor’s and paramedicos will be filled up on fast track basis in coming days*.
MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar raised the issue of Central University of Kashmir and said that the CUK campus presently working in rented accommodations needs to be taken up on war footing basis, besides the construction work at the identified site needs to be taken up on priority basis and be shifted to the designated place at Tullamulla from the Srinagar.
Chief Secretary assured MLA Ganderbal that I am personally monitoring the project & I have recently taken a meeting of Higher Education and will take up all the issues with HRD ministry in coming days.He also assured MLA Ganderbal that the work on the designated sight will be expidited and the university will be shifted at the designated place.
The Authorities are unnecessary delaying the start of work on 93MW New Ganderbal Hydro Electric Power Project, which needs to be taken on priority basis, Ishfaq informed the Chief Secretary. Chief Secretary assured MLA Ganderbal that we will explore all options which include re-tendering also and assured him that the work on the project will be started in near future.
Ishfaq apprised the Cheif Secretary about the Unani college & hospital and said that the Health & Medical Education department may be directed to make the College & Hospital functional in the new constructed building at an earliest.
Regarding the four lane Pandach-Beehama road MLA Ganderbal informed Chief Secretary that the work on the important road project which connects valley to Ladakh besides is the main route to Amarnath and Khirbhawani started in April 2018 under CRF but the progress of the work is very slow besides the funds may be released for land acquisition. Chief Secretary assured MLA Ganderbal that all the bottlenecks with this regard will be cleared and the work will be expidited.
Four lane road from Beehama to Tullamulla and back via Dangerpora, as the devotees of Mata Khirbhawani have to face difficulties especially during the annual Mela & Yatra and needs to be taken up in CRF,Ishfaq demands.
MLA Ganderbal also raised the issue of willow workers with the Chief Secretary and said that
around seventy percent population of the many villages of my Constituency including women are associated with the willow work and demands all facilities which include Mandi , boilers and clusters etc.
With regard to the R’s 7.45 crore estimated project of Zazna Fruit Mandi Chief Secretary assured MLA Ganderbal that all the issues regarding the project will be cleared.
Ishfaq also thanked the Chief Secretary for releasing the funds for Lift irrigation scheme for Wutlar, Bamloora and Guzhama bridges.
Chief Secretary assured MLA Ganderbal that all the liabilities of PHE, Irrigation, Horticulture and Agriculture departments will be cleared and all the pending projects will be completed.
The Chief Secretary assured the MLA that all his genuine demands would be addressed at an earliest and urged him to continue his positive endeavours for promoting a peaceful environment which would enhance people’s welfare and enable rapid development.
