Concentrate on your studies: Militant outfit to students

Srinagar: General Secretary United Jihad Council Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman who also heads the militant outfit Tehreek-ul-Mujhadeen Saturday appealed students from Kashmir to stay away from armed struggle and concentrate on their studies. He said: “Youth are our valuable asset and if they don’t concentrate on their studies then those pro-India elements will find it easy to stretch the period of our thralldom. I request militant commanders as well to desist from giving training to budding students,” he said in a statement to news agency CNS.

Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman said that the pace India has adopted to kill youth of Kashmir has back fired as more and more educated and qualified youth are joining militant ranks.”I request students to concentrate on their technical and professional studies as they are the ones who have to run this ongoing freedom struggle movement,” he said.

Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman claimed that non-local labourers and Indian troops are casting votes in Kashmir. He said elections are not any solution to Kashmir issue.

While paying rich tributes to Dr Manan Wani, the TeM Chief said that Kashmir will witness the Sum of Freedom one day and India has to vacate this land sooner or later. (CNS)
