CAMPA employees protest in Srinagar questioning government’s step-motherly treatment

Srinagar: The employees working in central Government Sponsored Scheme Compensatory Afforestation Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) wing of forest department on Monday held a protest demonstration in Srinagar demanding implementation of SRO 520.

Scores of employees from various districts of Kashmir valley assembled here in press enclave and shouted slogans “we want Justice” “implementation of SRO 520 for us”.

The protesters said that they are working in the department from last 10 years and government is neglected them now.

Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, President of CAMPA Association said that a meeting which was held on August 14 2018 in which it was mentioned that the employees working under CAMPA scheme will be included in SRO 520. “Even the sub Committee of 2014 has approved us for the regularisation.”

“Why is now government neglecting us,” Mir questioned.
