Civilian Killings sparked multiple protests in Kashmir Valley
Srinagar: The unabated killings in Kashmir sparked multiple protests across Valley on Monday.
Students at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) of North campus at Wadoora Sopore registered their protest.
Scores of students including female students assembled in the premises of the University and shouted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans against the civilian killings, the students held a peaceful protest at the campus to condemn the killings and express solidarity with their families.
Police foiled a protest that was organized by Kashmir legislator Engineer Rasheed in Handwara town of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Hundreds of people were part of the protest carrying placards and banners denouncing the civilians killings in Kashmir Valley. Rasheed tried to march towards Handwara town when police detained him and lodged him at SDPO office Handwara.
Rasheed blamed security agencies for the mess and said that it the obligation of Forces to sanitize the area before allowing people to visit encounter site. He said that Kashmiris are being butchered under a well hatched conspiracy.
