Govt forces launch CASO at Reshipora village in southern Kashmir’s Shopian
Srinagar: Government forces on Friday afternoon launched a cordon and search operation at Reshipora (Zainpora) village in southern Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Witnesses told that all exit and entry points to the village have been sealed and no one is being allowed to enter or leave the village.
“Many vehicles plying on Shopian-Bejbrara Road returned back since they were not allowed to pass through Reshipora village which is situated besides the said road,” witnesses from neighbouring Chitragam village said.
Earlier militants attacked 34 Rashtriya Rifles camp at Mantribug village after firing rounds of bullets at the camp. The attack was retaliated by the forces. Massive area has been cordoned off and media persons were not allowed to enter the area.
A solider sustained minor injuries during the militant attack. More details are awaited.
