Srinagar: A militant has been killed and army man was injured in an ongoing gun battle with government forces in Pazalpora village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday, official sources said.
An official said so far one militant has been killed and searches are underway. However, the officer said that the identity and group affiliation of slain militants are being ascertained.
An army soldier of 22 Rashtriya Rifles received injuries and has been evacuated and taken to a hospital for treatment, the official said.
He identified injured soldier as Brejesh Kumar and said that his condition is said to be stable.
Earlier today, a gunfight broke out between militants and the government forces Pazalpora village of Sopore. (Agencies)
