BJP, Congress two sides of same coin: Kejriwal
Jaipur: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday lashed out at both BJP and Congress, saying that under their alternative regimes in the state, the public, especially the farmers, suffered immensely, with the result, many of them were forced to commit suicide.
Addressing a rally at Ramlila Maidan here in this poll-bound state, Mr Kejriwal said that both Congress and BJP, which were maintaining a balance in Rajasthan by coming to power in alternative terms, had no concern for the plight of peasants.
Demanding the government to give fair price of crops to the ryots, while waiving off their loans, Mr Kejriwal said these two parties only understand the language of votes and they should be taught a lesson this time.
People of the state, who had pinned their hopes on BJP in 2013, after suffering under the Congress rule, were disappointed with the latter, since the saffron party also failed to deliver here, said Mr Kejriwal.
Sounding the poll bugle for Aam Aadmi Party in the state, the national convenor of AAP said his party will emerge as the third alternative in the state, much like Delhi, where people ousted the Congress and BJP from power and paved way for AAP.
Demanding the closure of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Mr Kejriwal said the scheme failed to benefit any farmers.
Releasing the party manifesto, titled ‘Kisan, Jawan and Rajasthan’ on the occasion, the Delhi Chief Minister said, ‘We want suggestions from people.’
