Civil Defence deployed volunteers in snow affected areas

Srinagar: On the directions of Senior officers, rescue teams of Civil Defence Srinagar headed by Rahi Riyaz Ahmed Divisional Warden Civil Defence Srinagar, were deployed at various places in the city in order to provide help to needy people.
During/post snowfall throughout the district, Civil Defence Volunteers extended helping hand to the masses and enormous stranded vehicles on various routes of district were rescued which had got stuck owing to slippery roads and felling of trees/ electric poles on roads.
A large chunk of broken trees and electric poles were also removed from roads for smooth flow of traffic on all the important routes of city especially within the jurisdictions of: Qamerwari, HMT, Kothibagh, Sadder, Rajbagh, Zadibal, Hawal, Ram Munshi Bagh, Shergiri, Batamalo and other areas.
