Srinagar-Jammu highway likely to be cleared for restoration of traffic by evening
Srinagar, Nov 05 : The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on which thousands of employees of the move offices are stranded since Monday morning are likely to be allowed to travel to Jammu in the evening as the road has been almost cleared by the road clearance squads of border roads organisation popularly called beacon.
The stranded employees on conditions of anonymity told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that most of the obstructions are cleared and indications of allowing the traffic to move to Jammu are likely to come within an hour or so. One of the stranded employees said “we didn’t face any difficulty in taking lunch or tea since morning as everything went normal but in case of any further obstruction on the road we may have to spend time in the vehicles only and can’t move to nearby hotels for the purposes of security and safety but we are very much sure to move to Jammu within an hour or so and reach winter capital late in the evening hours.” (KNS)
