UP govt create Guinness record by lightning over three lakh diyas during Deepostava in Ayodhya

UP Nov 6: The Uttar Pradesh Government on Tuesday made an entry into the Guinness book of world record when 3.
35 lakh diyas (earthen lamps) were lighted at the banks of river Saryu on the occasion of Deepotasava here .

Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Awasthi said here on Tuesday night that UP broke the previous record and officials of the Guinness Book of World Record gave the certificate of 3.
015 lakh diyas being a glow at one point of time.

As the dusk sets in, the ghats were illuminated with the colourful fluorescent light but what added sheen to this majestic grandeur was when earthen lamps were lit by the volunteers at the ghat.(UNI)
