Srinagar, Nov 14 : Government forces on Wednesday recovered two militant bodies whom army had claimed to have killed in a gunfight near Balbir Post along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector yesterday.
A police officer told GNS that the army’s 3 JAK Rifles today late in the afternoon recovered the bodies during the ongoing search operation near Balbir Post.
Pertinently, Army’s Srinagar based defence spokesperson had said that the alert troops deployed along the LoC in Keran intercepted a group of militants triggering off an encounter.
During the course of the gunfight, two militants have been killed, the spokesman had said.
He had said that the operation in the area was ongoing. The police officer said that the bodies were not so far handed over to police.
