Srinagar: A CRPF personnel died in a road accident on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Awantipora Saturday afternoon.
Reports said that a CRPF vehicle met with an accident near Checkote Awantipora, resulting into injuries to one CRPF personnel.
The injured was rushed to Public Health Centre Awantipora where he succumbed to his injuries.
The slain CRPF personnel has been identified as Gulab Chand of 130 battalion of CRPF, SHO Awantipora Mudasir Naseer told(Agencies)
Police Awantipora registered a case in this regard, he said.
