Panchayat elections won by candidates supported by our party: PDP leader

Baramulla: When the results of Panchayat elections came out in border area Uri, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) claims that his supported candidates won the maximum seats while leaders and National Conference (NC) claims that their supported candidates sweep in this border Tehsil and got 25 Sarpanch seats.

Raja Ajaz Ali Khan a senior leader of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said that his supported candidates won 17 Sarpanch seats while 5 other candidates who won the elections were by his support.

Raja Ajaz said that his party was not directly involved in the elections but large number of party workers participated in the elections for the development of their villages/ areas and to defeat others, later I also told him to go ahead. He said after results his party workers sweep in the Uri while some independent candidates won the elections by his support and they are directly or indirectly by his party PDP. He said.

However the National Conference claiming that 80% candidates are from their party or they won by the support of their party National Conference.
