CAPD official enjoy prize postings despite being accused in multicrore scam
Srinagar: A low rung employee at the Directorate of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs is enjoying prize posting despite being accused in multicrore scam.
According to reports, several employees in the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution were involved in an alleged multicrore scam and for which a case is already register under FIR No 40/2003 P/S VOK and the matter is sub judicial.
The concerned officials and employees were subsequently suspended and the enquiry was put up. The officials were reinstated on 08-10-2007 under GAD order No. (vig) 165-comp/2007 and it was mentioned in the order that their period of suspension shall be decided after final outcome of the court proceedings. It was further ordered that they should not be given any sensitive postings.
Insiders in the department said that these officials are leaving no stone unturned to misuse their official positions despite being barred in earlier government order.
Another case registered under FIR No. 49/02 U/S 5920 PC act, 409, 420, 467, 471, 120-B RPC police station Crime Branch was registered in this regard legal proceedings is going on.
Meanwhile, Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs last year initiated an RDA against accused Altaf Hussain Dalal under order No. 330-DFCS&CAK of 2017 dated 19-07-2018 and a committee was constituted and asked to report in-depth enquiry within ten days.
Sources further said that accused Altaf Hussain Dalal is enjoying prize posting and recently Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kashmir telephonically instructed the Assistant Director, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Anantnag to give charge to Altaf Hussain Dalal to supervise the distribution of PDS rations in Anantnag ‘B’ Circle in Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs vide order no. FCS/AD-Antg/01/18/5030-32 dated 28-04-2018.
Meanwhile, several employees have appealed governor led administration to take cognizance of the mismanagement and take necessary steps in this regard.
