Release salaries of teachers as per 7th pay commission, link their salaries with state sector: Qayoom Wani to Govt

Srinagar, Nov 23 (PR): President EJAC, Chairman Teachers Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Ab Qayoom Wani while condemning the unnecessary delay in resolving the 7th pay commission issue of SSA teachers, Head teachers, RMSA masters and head masters and linking of their salaries with state sector besides creation of posts said that it’s a big question mark on the decision of Governor of the state which was publicly announced before the media not less than the Advisor to the Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganaie along with commissioner secretary education Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Director School Education Kashmir G.N.Itoo and Director Samaghra Tufail Ahmad Matoo.
In a statement issued to KPS, Wani said that besides completion of all legal, departmental and financial aspects the government is unnecessarily using delay delaying tactics in releasing 7th pay commission in favour of SSA teachers, Head teachers, RMSA masters and Head masters besides delay in issuing formal orders with regard to linking of salaries with state sector and creation of posts. The delay has added to the miseries and worries of the teachers and has made their life miserable and has created chaos and confusion in the department which will have negative effects on the academic side of our students.
EJAC President said that it’s very unfortunate that the builders of the nation are without salaries for last four months and are crying for timely release of salaries which is not a demand but a legitimate right .Wani said that debarring any employee from the legitimate right of salary is against CSR which is unbearable.
He said that any more delay in issuing formal orders regarding the linking of salaries with state sector and creation of posts besides releasing of salary from September as per 7th Pay commission will compel the teaching community to hit the roads again.
Wani said that leaders of teachers joint action committee of all the three regions are seriously monitoring the situation and are in close touch with each other and have decided to call a meeting of executive body of teachers joint action committee at Jammu on 30th November in which all the leader of three regions will participate and future course of action will be decided.
Chairman TJAC urged upon Governor of the state for his immediate personal intervention in implementing his own commitment which will give a sigh of relief to 41 thousand nation builders.
Wani also urged upon Advisor to the Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganaie, chief secretary B.V.R Subramaniyum, principal secretary finance Naveen Kumar Choudhary and commissioner secretary education Ajeet Kumar Sahu to feel the pain of the teachers which has made their social life miserable and avoid any more delay in resolving the issues already agreed in principle otherwise teachers joint action committee will go for mass demonstration at Jammu and the roads leading to Raj Bhawan will be flooded by the teachers and the responsibility shall lie on the shoulders of the government.
He assured the teaching community that don’t lose hope Teachers Joint Action Committee will go to any extent for the resolution of legitimate rights. The leaders of TJAC are committed to protect the rights and aspirations of the teaching community at every level.
