Shopian: The Government forces on Monday afternoon laid a cordon to Brethipora village of Shopian district in southern Kashmir.
Locals said that the forces including Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group, army and the paramilitary laid a siege and started a search operation.
The search operation was going on in the village while this report was being filed.
Last week exchange of fire between government forces and militants took place in the peripheries of the village during night hours (AGENCIES)
