Srinagar: Pulwama town and its adjoining Kakapora and Newa areas shut spontaneously on Wednesday after the news about the killing of top Lashkar commander Naveed Jatt in a gunfight with government forces at Kothpora Chatergam spread in the district.
All shops and other business establishments closed in Pulwama, Newa and Kakapora areas.
Reports said that minor clashes also erupted near police station Pulwama.
Reports of clashes were also received from Kakapora area.
