Day 3 of KWFF: ‘Beyond the Clouds’ screened at Tagore Hall

Srinagar: Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s Bollywood flick Beyond the Clouds was screened on the third day of Kashmir World Film Festival (KWFF) at Tagore Hall here.

The film stars Ishaan Khatter, Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles.

The other films that were screened during the day include Nitendra Singh’s Baraf Pani, Asiya Zahoor’s The Stitch, Ghasideh Golmakani’s Online Shopping, Ajitpal Singh’s Rammat Gammat, Sabarivasan Shanmugam’s Talk to Me Precious, Vikas Prashar’s Pema’s Balloons, Abdul Rashid Bhat’s Green Gold on Fire, Biswanath Rath’s Kotpad Weaving and Pratibha Sharma’s Amo Aaka Ekse.          

RJ Deevangna from FM Tadka’s Jaipur station also interacted with the students and those interested in making their careers in the field of Radio. She shared her journey and struggles while coming across the career of RJ.  “It was not easy for me to become an RJ. There were so many challenges but I faced all and stood against them. One should never lose the hope,” she said.

Students and films buffs also expressed pleasure to the festival team for organizing such kind of festival in the valley. “First of all, we hardly get to see such films on YouTube. Here our own films get screened on a big screen that is watched by so many people and then you have a healthy criticism. It is really an honour,” said a student for Government Degree College Baramulla.

Filmmaker Afzal Sofi whose film ‘All Out’ was screened as the opening film on the second day of the festival said: “This is definitely a positive step and the local filmmakers are getting a chance to showcase their filmmaking talent. We are glad”

Festival Director Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan said that they are getting positive response and good support on the each passing day. “The determination of students, film buffs and general audience is prompting us to take this show forward,” Khan said.
