Srinagar, Dec 05 President of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) and Chairman Teachers Joint Action Committee (TJAC), Abdul Qayoom Wani on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow on the sad demise of mother of Mohammad Yaqoob Malik, Under Secretary School Education.
Malik as per a statement issued to KNS is a close associate of Wani and has served the employee fraternity as a trade union leader.
Malik has served the department in different positions and is presently working as Under Secretary Education. “He has been playing a vital role in resolving the issues of Teaching community,” Wani said while expressing his deepest sympathies with the bereaved family especially Mohd Yaqoob Malik, terming demise of his mother as personal loss.
He said that the deceased was a noble human and a God fearing woman. “All the leaders of teachers forum and employees joint action committee stand with the bereaved family especially Mohd .Yaqoob Malik at this difficult time,” he said.
Meanwhile, a condolence meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum was held at Jammu in which special prayers were offered for the departed soul.
The meeting was attended by Ganesh Khajuria, Peer Nisar, Yograj Singh Showkat Ali Beig, Jamayat Ali Agah, Kuldeep Bandral, Rajinder Gupta, Darshan Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Shanker Singh, Raj Singh and others.
Another condolence meeting was held at Srinagar under the chair of vice chairman Mohd Akbar Khan in which special prayers were offered for the departed soul and deepest sympathies were expressed with the bereaved family especially Mohd Yaqoob Malik.
On the directives of Wani, a high level delegation of JKTF lead by Spokesman Mohd Ashraf Wani will visit the residence of Mohd Yaqoob Malik tomorrow to express solidarity with the bereaved family on behalf of whole teaching fraternity.
On the directions of Wani, a delegation of leaders of EJAC and JKTF Anantnag led by Spokesman Mohd Ashraf Wani will also visit the residence of Mohd Yaqoob Malik at Lissar Kokernag tomorrow to pay condolences on behalf of President EJAC Ab. Qayoom Wani and whole teaching fraternity in particular and employees of the state in general. (KNS)
