A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces earlier when some gunshots were heard after a joint team of Police and CRPF cordoned off the area.
Eyewitnesses from the area while speaking to KW over phone said that youth assembled and threw stones at the forces who responded by tear gas shelling.
As per reports, people from adjacent areas are trying marching towards the encounter site. (KW)
