Srinagar, Dec 09: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohd Ashraf Sehrai, hailing the unparalleled services and sacrifices of youths and said, they serve beacon light and torch bearers for ongoing movement.
In a statement issued to KNS, Sehrai paid glorious and heartfelt tributes to Mujgund martyrs, where three Brave Hearts achieved martyrdom. He said that their cherished sacrifices won’t go waste and will definitely lead us to our destiny. “We feel for them but we are proud of their dedication and commitment. The sacrifices of these martyrs are a part of our collective memory that can’t be erased at any cost”.
Sehrai also hailed the spirits of people and commended their sensitivity and seriousness towards resistance movement and the nation will never budge from its stand and will carry their mission till its logical end. He said the “Sacrifices rendered by youths are praise worthy and exemplary.”
Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, in his statement said, “The ongoing popular freedom struggle have been violently suppressed by Indian forces and the state terrorism has become a norm with all kinds barbarism that sends the message that Indian forces are orchestrating genocide in Kashmir. Indian forces have operated with near complete impunity for so long that unlawful killings, Vandalizing properties, bombing houses and other flagrant violations of international law have become the norm.”
Sehrai said, “The continuous aggressive policy of Indian state against Kashmiris is aimed at putting the resolution of Kashmir issue in cold storage and to create a grave yard silence with brute force and unimaginable atrocities that is resulting in the continuous bloodshed. Reiterating such repressive measures won’t deter us from following our mission. Unless and until the issue is not resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of people of Kashmir, the violence and uncertainty will prevail.”
He said that the Kashmir dispute pertained to the future of millions of Kashmiris and it could only be resolved by giving inalienable right to self determination, further, urged international human rights organization to intervene and come for the rescue of Kashmiris from occupational atrocities. The time is overdue for the international community to intervene and resolve Kashmir issue as per the wishes of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sehrai said, “The failure of the international community to intervene to protect Kashmiri people only encourages India as the occupying authority to commit more war crimes against Kashmiris. These crimes will continue in the absence of accountability and will further encourage a culture of impunity in favor of India.”
