Srinagar: The United Core Group of Sericulture Employees and Workers Union Kashmir Division strongly backed by the hundreds of regular employees and Labourers were expecting a useful command both at Technical and the Administrative level from the present Director Sericulture Development Department Jammu and Kashmir Gulzar Ahmed. Astonishingly the things have gone unhesitatingly in opposite direction thus creating a sort of uproar and fuss in Administrative and Technical Blocks of the Department. The previous and costlier Silkworm Seed which had to be put to the
hibernation on or before the 12th instant of current month are as on date unattended. The authority on top Chair of the department has even tarnished the image of the Administrative set up by unnecessarily placing dozens of innocent permanent Employees under suspension including those who were on sanctioned Earned Leave or any other kind of leave or even remained out in a dogmatical way. Ironically nothing positive has uptill now come out in terms of infrastructural development. The costlier Cold storage plant constructed during the proceeding year on war footing by the than authorities is still lacking lot of assistance in terms of required tools and apparatus.
The Union in no way want any front with the concerned Director instead through the medium of this Press Release urge the present dispensation in power in the Jammu and Kashmir State to adjust a well skilled, capable and competent Head of the Department who could deliver better as far as Administration and Technical side practically at ground level. If it is not done, the Union shall be left with no option but to go for large scale protest demonstration even indefinite strike as we collectively want to see our department on forefront in terms of Production and other things.
