In view of JRL’s march, restrictions on Monday, traffic police issues advisory
Srinagar, Dec 16 : As the restrictions will continue to remain in place on Monday due to March called by the pro-freedom camp, the traffic department on Sunday issued an advisory, saying that traffic will not be allowed to ply on Pantha Chowk?Sonwar? Dalgate road stretch on Monday.
“In view of security restrictions in Srinagar on 17th of December, 2018, traffic will not be allowed to ply on Pantha Chowk?Sonwar? Dalgate road stretch,” traffic police said, adding that people who intend to travel to South Kashmir are advised to take Bypass road.
“Similarly people coming from South Kashmir shall adopt Bypass road to reach City Centre,” the officials said in a statement issued to KPS, adding that people who have to travel from Nishat & adjacent areas to reach City Centre shall adopt Boulevard?Badyari road.
No traffic shall be allowed to ply on Gupkar road stretch from Grand Place crossing, they said, adding that commuters are requested to use alternate routes to reach their destinations. “Any inconvenience caused is highly regretted,” officials said.
