NPP urged PM urgent meeting of all J&K leaders
Jammu: Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party urged Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India to convene an urgent meeting of all political parties in J&K including angry leadership of Kashmir to work out an urgent plan for restoration of peace with confidence in Jammu & Kashmir particularly in the Valley. Prof. Bhim Singh also urged the Prime Minister to hold an urgent meeting with the executive of Jammu & Kashmir headed by the Governor to work out a scientific strategy for restoration of confidence and peace in the Valley.
Prof. Bhim Singh in his letter to the Prime Minister of India expressed deep shock on the situation and conveyed that the Indian Army has been playing a great role since 1947 which has been receiving great appreciation for all the people of Jammu & Kashmir particularly from Kashmiri brotheren. The Kashmiries and their leadership has been fighting against aggressors since 1947. Some of the Kashmiries were martyred in 1947 from the raiders in 1947. The Kashmiries won appreciation from Mahatma Gandhi also for their secular and anti aggressors role in 1947. Prof. Bhim Singh said that the Indian Army has always got favour from the people of Kashmir in particular for its role for the development, schooling and promotion of Kashmiri people and their children.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that Indian Army has been maintaining, defending and looking after the security of the International Border and Line of Control over 700 kilometers from Hiranagar to Kargil. NPP Supremo wondered why the Indian Army is being brought to the Mohallas and the rural areas in Kashmir to look after law and order situation. NPP Supremo suggested that the Indian Army has been playing a great role in Jammu & Kashmir and enjoying hospitality and love of the people and there was no reason or situation to hand over local law and order situation to the Army. He said that Jammu & Kashmir Police is efficient and capable enough to deal with the local/ law and order situation and there should be no urgency to call the Indian Army as Indian Army has been playing a magnificent, wonderful and appreciation role maintaining and defending the International borders.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that Kashmir situation deserves to be taken care of by the Police and the security forces who are capable enough. Secondly the bullets are no solution today nor they were yesterday. The Government should take the suffering people into confidence with clear mind that the Kashmiries have been and they are even today peace loving, secular and could be taken into confidence through discussion and dialogue. The guns were not solution yesterday nor they could be solution today. The Govt. of India should go through the history of the Kashmir when Maharaja Hari Singh appointed a British Govt. Commissioner to enquire into the killing of several Kashmiries in Police firing. The Maharaja implemented the finding of the Commission within months and restored the confidence of the Kashmiries.
Prof. Bhim Singh hoped that the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Satya Pal Malik may consider his urgent appeal in this regard.
