Attack on Tehsildar Kupwara by MC Chairman another shameful, condemnable act: Qayoom Wani

Srinagar, Dec 20: Senior JCC Leader and President Employees’ Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Ab Qayoom Wani condemned the manhandling and attack on Tehsildar Kupwara Tariq Ahmad Bhat and his staff members by Chairman Municipal Committee Kupwara Riyaz Ahmad Mir and his associates during anti encroachment drive.
In a statement issued to KNS, Wani said that employees are public servants but not the bonded labours of people with power arrogance. Wani demanded stern action against the Chairman MC Kupwara and immediate FIR against them.
He warned dire consequences if such unwarranted and unjustified actions are not stopped forthwith. He said that such type of actions speaks the volumes of power arrogance and the employees are feeling insecure in the hands of such type of sick minded people.
EJAC President appealed the Governor administration particularly Chief Secretary BVR Subramanyium, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, DC Kupwara Khalid Jehangir for their immediate intervention in initiating action against chairman Municipal Committee Kupwara and his associates.
Wani hoped that worthy Chief Secretary will consider the sensitivity of these issues and will initiate stern action on merits of the case, as a custodian of the rights of the employees of J&K state.
He along with all the leaders of EJAC in particular and employees of the state in general have showed solidarity with Tehsildar Kupwara and the employees of the Revenue Department.
