AJKPA strongly condems the behaviour of MC Chairman Kupwara towards Tehsildar Kupwara

Srinagar: In a joint statement AJKPA State President Sajad Siddique along with Provincial President Kashmir Fayaz Ahmad Baba decried the graceless behaviour of MC chairman Kupwara towards the Executive Magistrate (Tehsildar) Kupwara. The official was disbursing his official duty, on the worthy directions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, when the said chairman disrupted him unauthorizedly and used unparliamentary language against him and his associated staff.

AJKPA takes strong note of such a notorious behaviour on part of a accountable person like MC Chairman. The leadership cautions him from crossing the line and advises him to conduct his affiars within the confines of law and legislations. They also made a fervent appeal to the worthy Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara to take cognizance of the matter and take necessary legal action against the culprits. Such an action is warranted as it would desist such elements from going scot-free and would simultaneously encourage the officials from delivering their functions effeciently.

Moreover it is as such requested to the Governor Administration to issue strict guidelines to these newly elected representatives about their functions and responsibilities. They should also be acquainted about their role vis-a-vis law enforcers instead of acting as law-inhibiters. This would enhance their image in public besides doing justice with the mantle they have donned recently.
