Annual Issue of “Nagina International” Urdu magazine launched in Srinagar.

Chief editor Nagina International, Vehshi Syed, a renowned short story teller, presented welcome address

Srinagar: The Annual Issue (Saalnama) of “Nagina International” urdu magazine was launched today at Hotel Shahenshah Palace, Srinagar.  Also 1) Travelogue of Kashmir by Prof. Shahnaaz Nabi titled “ Kashmir Jannat Nazeer” and 2) Short Story Collection by Dr. Shahid  Jameel titled “Ababeel Ki Hijrat” were also released.

This function was presided over by Justice (Rtd.) Bashir Ahmad Kirmani. The presidium was also graced by Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Teng, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Khayal, Prof. Mohammad Zaman Azurda and Prof. Shafiqah Parveen.

The chief editor, Vehshi Syed, who is a renowned short story teller, presented welcome address in which he shared some thought provoking views on Urdu literature. Also, Prof. Rashid Aziz read out the commentary on “Nagina International” annual issue 2018. Kashmiri short story of late Sofi Gh. Mohammad, founder of news paper Srinagar Times, translated into Urdu by Mr. Noor Shah, was read out by Mr.  Nasir Zamir.

The Annual Issue of “Nagina International” was distributed amongst the participants, who were all praise for its literary material and beautiful get up. The editorial board of the magazine was praised for its selfless service to the Urdu language. Mr. Abdullah Khawar recited verses from the “Holy Quran” and read out a Naat Sharief.

In the end Zahoor Tramboo proposed a vote of thanks.
