Funeral Prayers in Absentia for Tral militants held at various places
Srinagar : By choking every little space on peaceful political resistance, Indian colonial attitude has and is pushing our young ones to the wall and forcing them to tread the path of armed resistance. A peoples struggle nourished by the sacred blood of Lakhs’ of martyrs cannot be put into submission by military and police oppression. This was stated by the joint resistance leadership comprising of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement to Valley Media Service, while condemning the ongoing Indian onslaught in Kashmir.
On JRL call, funeral prayers in absentia were held at many places in which leaders and activists form JRL along with common people participated in large numbers. On JRL call, leaders and activists from Hurriyat (G), Hurriyat (M) and JKLF organized various funeral prayers in absentia for yesterday’s martyrs who laid down their lives at Tral Pulwama. Funeral Prayers In absentia were held at Lal-chowk, Hyderpora, Nowshehra, Nawakadal and many other places. At Lal Chowk, the funeral prayers in absentia were led by JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and JKLF secretary general Engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidhi, Hurriyat (M) leaders Muhammad Shafi Khan Haji Muhammad Sideeq Hazari Sahil Ahmad, JKLF Leaders Muhammad Yasin Butt, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Sideeq Guru, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and Meraj-ud-din Parray along with others participated in it. At Nowshehra, Nawa-kadal and Hyderpora, funeral prayers in absentia were led by Hurriyat (G) leaders Muhammad Rafiq Owaisi, Molvi Bashir Irfani and Tauseef Ahmad and besides common people in large numbers leaders including Bilal Ahmad Sideequi, Syed Muhammad Shafi, Rameez Raja, Khawaja Firdous, Sajad Ahmad Sofi participated in these prayers meetings. Besides praying for the recent martyrs, participants in these funeral prayers meetings also prayed for the success of the sacred cause for which these innocent martyrs are laying their lives for.
Meanwhile in a joint press release issued on the occasion, JRL leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik who is languishing in police station Maisuma along with many other activists have said that Indian aggressors have from a long time adopted and executed the policy of choking very little space on peaceful political resistance in Kashmir and this suppression has now touched new heights as police is even trying to put a ban on funeral prayers and mourning’s too.
JRL said that Indian prime ministers appreciation for Kashmir police is actually for these kinds of oppressive measures and choking of peaceful political space because by these acts police has been pushing young Kashmiri boys to the wall and hence leaving no space for them but to sacrifice their lives.
JRL said that by choking political space on young boys, not letting them express their anger and thoughts through peaceful means ,torturing and humiliating them in political resistance has and is resulting in forcing them to tread the path of ultimate sacrifice.
JRL said that use of brute force and policy to eliminate every voice of dissent is aimed at putting Kashmiris into submission but Indian aggressors fail to understand that repression and systematic genocide will never succeed in putting a nation that has resolved to fight for its right to self-determination.
