Srinagar, Dec 28 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday extended warm greetings to the people on the 714th Urs of Hazrat Nizamudin Auliya Mehboob e Elahi (RA).
While greeting people, Dr Farooq said that that Sufis talk about annihilating themselves in the beloved through the path of love. “The influence of the teaching of Sufis like Hazrat Nizam ud Din Auliya through Syncretic values, literature, and education has created an enduring impact on the presence of Islam in the sub-continent today,” he said adding, “I pray that the auspicious day acts as harbinger of peace in the entire world.”
Dr. Farooq said that the shrine of Hazrat Nizam Ud Auliya is Delhi’s most evocative and inspiring religious sites and a symbol of interreligious unity.
