NPP Supremo reaches to suffering rural people of Ramnagar, accompanied by Chairman, President & Gen. Secretaries of JKNPP

PR:  Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party & Sr. Executive Member of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) with senior leadership of JKNPP visited ancestral town, Ramnagar and congratulated the new elected sarpanches and panches of the panchayats which were recently held after a gap of 8 years in J&K.

A reception was organized by sarpanch Kuldip Singh Jamwal who is also Provincial Secretary of Panchayat Power in Jammu Pradesh. Several panches and sarpanches gathered at the Panchayat Centre of Shri Kuldip Singh Jamwal in Kheen. In a message to the people of the villagers/rural folk, Prof.Bhim Singh congratulated sarpanch Kuldip Singh Jamwal and his colleagues for organizing a grand get-together at Village Kheen, 10 kms. from historic town, Ramnagar, just across the river. Chairman Shri Harsh Dev Singh, President Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia, General Secretaries Ms. Anita Thakur & Mrs. Manju Singh also greeted newly elected sarpanches, members of panchayats and the voters for participating in the elections defying all the gun-holding terrorists and foreign elements. He congratulated the people of the entire State of J&K for holding panchayat elections without letting drop of blood or voilence. He appealed the electorates in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to participate in the Assembly elections in peace and solidarity with the cause of the suffering people.

Prof.Bhim Singh in his thanks address called on the Central Govt. and the Parliament of India to hold delimitation of the Assembly constituencies. Delimitation Commission has not been held by the Election Commission of India since 1985. Prof.Bhim Singh said that Govt. of India and the Parliament Committee should read the Constitution of India and ensure total implementation of all fundamental rights provided in the Indian Constitution from Article 12 to 35 without any delay. He expressed shock that Delimitation Commission has been held throughout country every 10 years whereas in J&K it has not been held for the past 25 years which amounts to discrimination and denial of fundamental rights to the electorates of J&K.

Prof.Bhim Singh called on the electorates irrespective of their association with political parties in J&K to get ready for Mahabharata in case Central Govt. shall not hold appoint Delimitation Commission within one month. He also demanded that all reserved constituencies for SC only and that too only in Jammu province have to be rotated without any delay. Besides, he told the hundreds of panchayat participants today that the all Scheduled Tribes (Gujjars, Bakerwals and Gaddies etc.) who were recognized after 1995 as Scheduled Tribes should also be given representation whether residing in Kashmir Valley or Jammu province.

Prof.Bhim Singh warned the Parliament of India to do justice with the people of J&K by implementing Instrument of Accession in full which was signed by the Ruler of J&K in 1947 like other rulers. Parliament should amend Article 370 to transfer power to Parliament to take care of Defence, Foreign Affairs, Communications and Allied Matters as was signed by Maharaja Hari Singh in 1947.
