Srinagar, Dec 29: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kupwara, Mukhtar Ahmad along with the staff on Saturday conducted an intensive checking of vehicles on various routes of Kupwara as well as its interiors to curb the overloading and other traffic related on road violation.
According to ARTO Kupwara, “the number of complaints was received from locals that the drivers of passenger vehicles and private vehicles do overloading of passengers. During conducting checking, we fined the violators and recovered Rs 1530 cash from the traffic violators.”
Meanwhile, ARTO Kupwara said the checking of vehicles would continue in coming days and asked people particularly bikers to use helmets and avoid fast driving.
