JKHBA over the attempted defiling & desecration of Jamia Masjid

Srinagar : J&K High Court Bar Association, Srinagar, expresses its serious concern over the attempted defiling and desecration of the Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, by climbing on its pulpit, which is held sacred by the Muslims, with shoes and terms it to be an un-Islamic act resorted to by some elements, whose objective was to denigrate the Grand Mosque of the State, which is revered by the Muslims all over the World in general and by the Kashmiri Muslims in particular and to lower down its image and prestige, amongst the general masses, for achieving some oblique motive, which should be condemned by one and all.

The Bar Association also condemns the ruthless beating given to Rubeena Akhter of Patipora Pulwama, alongwith her husband and brother, in police custody only because she happened to be the sister of a militant, as a result of which she received multiple injuries on her body and had to be hospitalized. In a statement to KPS, Bar Association demands that a criminal case be registered against all those who have committed the said dastardly act and exemplary punishment be given to them for outraging the modesty of Rubeena Akhter and they be punished according to law.

The Bar Association also extends its heartiest greetings to all those boys and girls, who passed the 10th Class examination, the result of which was declared on 29th of December, 2018, and asks them to keep it up and show to the world that Kashmiries are second to none, when it comes to the pursuing of their studies and passing of the examinations with highest marks, even against all odds.
