New Delhi, Jan 9 : External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday met a galaxy of global leaders and her counterparts from various countries including Mangolia and Iran here.
According to MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar, she met Hamid Karzai, former President of Afghanistan on the sidelines of the three-day long Raisina Dialogue, which got underway on Tuesday.
“EAM Sushma Swaraj met Hamid Karzai, former President of Afghanistan on the sidelines of Raisina Dialogue. Good exchange of views on deepening our bilateral relationship as well as on the situation in Afghanistan,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
Ms Swaraj also met Foreign Minister of Mongolia Damdin Tsogtbaatar.
The Minister had a productive meeting with Foreign Minister of Mongolia, MEA spokesman said.
Both the leaders took stock of positive developments in relationship in areas of energy, renewable energy, development partnership, capacity building and culture, he said.
In another missive in the micro blogging site, MEA spokesman highlighted about Ms Swaraj’s meeting with her Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif.
“Age-old cultural & civilizational connect. EAM Sushma Swaraj met Iranian Foreign Minister J Zarif who is in Delhi for the Raisina Dialogue. Held wide ranging discussion on important bilateral issues and shared perspectives on the regional situation,” MEA spokesman tweeted.
