Srinagar, Jan 15 : In order to eradicate the menace of drug peddling from the city and it’s subsequent consumption, police on Tuesday arrested a drug peddler in Srinagar, a police spokesman said here on Tuesday evening.
He said during routine patrolling Police party led by Station House Officer (SHO) Nigeen Riyaz Ahmed Khan noticed that a person namely Fayaz Ahmad was moving suspiciously and tried to flee after he noticed the police party.
He was apprehended & during his personal search 120 grams of charas was recovered from his possession. The accused was accordingly arrested, besides contraband was seized and sealed in presence of SDPO Zakora.
