Ganderbal, Jan 15: Appal-ling condition of Gogigund-Devipora link road in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has irked residents of this remote hamlet.
The inhabitants said, that due to pathetic condition of the road students, employees and also patients face immense hardships to reach their respective destinations. They added that (authorities) have failed us on every front, because of this step-motherly approach, that we are yet to see any development in our village locals added.
The locals of the area said that the road is strewn with deep ditches and potholes and accused the Government of ignoring their miseries. “We do not know why authorities have deliberately left our road uneven. Except our road, maximum of the link roads in Ganderbal constituency have been macadamized,” said a local.
Meanwhile the locals have appealed the concerned authorities to look into the issues for an immediate redressal.
The locals also threatened of dire consequences if their demand was not met. “If they (Government) fail to deliver this time, we will block the roads ,” they warned.
