India condemns terror attack in Kabul

New Delhi, Jan 15 : India on Tuesday strongly condemned the horrific terror attack in Kabul on Monday in which an Indian national and many others lost their lives.
“We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this cowardly attack and wish early recovery to the injured. The Indian Embassy in Kabul is taking steps for repatriation of the mortal remains of the Indian national,” an MEA statement said here.
India calls for the perpetrators of this heinous attack and those who “provide them shelter’ to be brought to justice expeditiously, the statement said.
A vehicle bomb rocked Kabul on Monday night, killing at least four people and wounding at least 44.
The explosion occurred in the Green Village area near the airport in eastern Kabul. At least 10 of the wounded were children, Najib Danish, a spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry, said.
Green Village area has been the frequent target of attacks because of the large numbers of foreigners there, media reports said.
