Amid clashes spontaneous shutdown in Pulwama parts over militant killings in Budgam
Pampore: Amid heavy rains clashes erupted in many places in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday afternoon after rumours about the killing of three Pulwama militants in a gunfight with government forces in Hapatnar Budgam spread.
Witnesses told that soon after news spread, shopkeepers drowned their shutters while transport went of the roads.
Local sources said scores of youth hit roads in Murran Chowk, Dangerpora, Chatapora and Near old court complex Pulwama and pelted stones on government forces. Forces retaliated with tear smoke shells to disperse the stone pelting protesters.
