Shutdown of coaching centres a week ahead of R-Day, an unfortunate move:- J&KSM

The decision is a violation of educational rights
J&K Students Movement has slammed the authorities for closing the coaching centres in Kashmir Valley terming it an unfortunate and a direct attack on the education.
The proprietors of coaching centres operating in Srinagar & in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district were Verbally asked by the local police to wind up their regular coaching work till 26th January.
Asif Wani, the President of J&KSM said that “Shutting down coaching centres in the valley is yet another blow to the already suffering education in Kashmir. The decision is a violation of educational rights and authorities must spare educational institutions so that we don’t suffer more.”
Another Student Activist Gazi Muzamil, who is also the Spokesperson of J&KSM called this move as most unfortunate.
“We are far behind others when it comes to a number of selections in competitive exams. There has been a constant decline in the number of selections of Kashmiri Students in National Competitive exams since the past few years due to the regular shutdowns on education like this”, Gazi Said.
Why Coaching Centres are closed with still a week into their day? Such attempts will ruin the education & career of our students, “Gazi further added”.
J&K Students Movement (J&KSM) said that Director Education should issue a written order and cite the reasons that prompts it to waste the precious time of students and appeals the Governor to intervene so that the precious time of students can be saved.
