Shopian: Government forces on Thursday laid siege over Kadam village in Shopian district of South Kashmir.
According to reports the search operation was launched after forces received information about militant presence in the area.
34RR of Army and special operations group of JK Police is jointly conducting the operation in the area.
Entry and exit points of the village have been sealed and door to door searches are being conducted.
