Jammu: A delegation of J&K State Joint Action Committee of Graduate Engineering Associations led by its president Er Firdous Ahad Bhat, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
The members of the delegation apprised Governor regarding prolonged stagnation in the engineering departments and requested for early issuance of an SRO for the “Assured Career Progression Scheme” for engineers which already stands approved by the government, a government handout said.
The engineers association in a statement said that besides issues like regularization of services of engineers, enhancement in FTA to a reasonable rate, redressal of pay disparity and cadre review were also discussed with the Governor. .
It said the Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all the issues will be addressed in a time bound manner.
