Video Report : Amid Heavy snow Sheeri residents of Baramula carry pregnant lady to hospital on their shoulders

Baramulla:A family have to carry pregnant woman on shoulders travelling 3 kilometres shocking from far-flung Goriwaan village to Audoora Narvaw area  due to lack of connectivity of road closed by snow on Thursday.
While trekking amid heavy snowfall, biting cold  a video of woman ferried by relatives on makeshift stretcher went viral .

The old-aged pregnant women  from Goriwaan Sheeri Namely Begma Begium Wife of Lateef Ahmad Sood  suffered a Labour pain from last midnight.
However,All roads which is connected its tehsil headquarter Sheeri And PHC sheeri  hospital was cut off due to heavy snowfall from last twenty four hour’s in the said  village and enable  to carry the patient to the hospital in the emergency situation.Lack of basic facilities such as roads is an exposure to the development in these areas.
Block Medical Officer Sheeri Dr Sheikh Farooq  said  to KNS that an ambulance was rushed to ferry the patients but due heavy snowfall the ambulance could reach upto Audoora village only. The patient was brought to PHC Sheeri and after examination she was referred to District Hospital Baramulla where her condition is stated to be stable.
