Srinagar, Feb 08 : The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has welcomed the decision of making Ladakh as a separate administrative division, which was a long pending demand of people of Ladakh.
The Party (Congress) also said Ladakh is a hilly division with difficult topographies, which remains cut off from the valley for almost six months during winters and making it as Separate Administrative Division will go a long way in restoring confidence among the people in both Leh and Kargil Districts.
The JKPCC Spokesperson while expressing satisfaction over making Ladakh as a separate administrative division said that Congress Party has always advocated for equitable development of the all three regions of the State and it will continue to remain steadfast to empower them equally.
He said the visit of PPG (Congress Policy Planning Group) to Ladakh Division last year was part of Congress Party reach out policy, which met cross section of the for redressal of their grievances.
The people of Ladakh especially the youth represented to PPG for seeking its full support to their long pending demand of making Ladakh as separate administrative division to which the PPG had assured full support to this genuine demand he added and congratulated people Ladkah for getting separate division.
