Demands all traditional routes to be opened
Srinagar, Feb 08 : Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday said that the people of Kashmir witnessed official apathy and callousness as they were forced to struggle in the adverse weather conditions.
Mirwaiz while addressing a gathering at Jamia Masjid today, Mirwaiz demanded that all traditional routes be opened to facilitate travel and supplies of essentials.
He expressed anguish and concern over what he termed as apathy and callousness of the authorities towards the people of Kashmir, struggle with the fall out of adverse weather conditions.
“With no plan or concern to ameliorate the difficulties of people and the repeated shutting down of Srinagar-Jammu road, we demand that all traditional routes be opened to facilitate travel and supplies of essentials,” Mirwaiz said.
“_At Jamia today, with anguish and concern, we witness total apathy and callousness of the authorities towards the people of Kashmir, struggling with the fall out of adverse weather conditions.
