Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday lathicharged Kashmir passengers stranded in winter capital city Jammu and barred them from protesting against the state administration.
Hundreds of Kashmiri passengers are stranded in Jammu for last one week due to the closure of Srinagar-Jammu highway in view of landslides in Ramban area.
The stranded passengers, according to reports, protested in Jammu and raised slogans against the government.
The passengers blocked the Canal road Jammu demanding airlifting.
Reports said police lathicharged the passengers and forced them to disperse. (Agencies)
