Rajnath, PM Modi Meet to Take Stock of Security Situation in J&K
PM Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh reportedly met on Saturday, 23 February, to discuss the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, leaves of commandants have been cancelled and public services have been asked to gear up for emergency-like situation.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the India-Pakistan standoff, in the aftermath of Pulwama attack, is a “very dangerous situation.”

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Yasin Malik was detained on Friday night amid indications of a wider crackdown on separatists in Jammu and Kashmir, officials told PTI.
Meanwhile, speaking at a rally in Tonk in Rajasthan, PM Modi commented upon the reports of violence against Kashmiris, saying such incidents should not have happened. “Our fight is for Kashmir, not against Kashmir, not against Kashmiris,” he said. (Agencies)
