Shopian: The two slain militants who were killed in a gunfight with forces at Memander village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday have been identified.

A police official said the slain mitants has been identified as Suhail Nazir Mir son of Nazir Ahmad Mir, resident of Sadipora Payeen village of Shopian.

He said that Suhail had joined militant ranks on 11 December in 2018 and was affiliated with JeM.

He said that the other militant is a foreigner.
