Telecom companies instructed to reduce 3G/4G data services to 2G speed in Kashmir Valley

Srinagar: The authorities on Friday reduced the Internet speed on mobile phones in Kashmir valley.

Reports said 4G and 3G services were suspended as a precautionary measure.

The suspension comes after the Government of India banned Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir.

“The JeI has been indulging in activities which are prejudicial to internal security and public order and (have) potential of disrupting the unity and integrity of the country,” the ban order reads. (With Agency Inputs)
