Srinagar, Mar 01 : Two militants were killed on Friday in an eight hour long encounter with forces at Babagund Handwara in north Kashmir.
A police officer told KNS that two militants were killed during the course of the gunfight. “The identities of the slain and their group affiliation are being ascertained”.
The gunfight erupted late Thursday night after the contingents of army’s 22-RR, 92 battalion CRPF and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a massive cordon-and-search operation in the area following inputs about presence of militants. (KNS)
