Srinagar (KPS): Behind every successful woman is the support of her family, and this is the story of Ifshan Burza and Iqra Nazir, who rose to the horizons of fulfilling their dream only with the back of their families.
In Kashmir when we talk about business, we talk of men only Traditionally womenfolk did not own or operate businesses of their own. But everything has taken turn and young women of Kashmir are breaking all the barriers and treading the path of business which otherwise would be a man’s domain only.
This year, the international women’s day will carve a significant place in Kashmir’s feminist history as the heavenly state got its first female owned departmental store at Jawahar Nagar.
The Club – A Multiplex store in the heart of the Srinagar was inaugurated today at Jawahar Nagar Srinagar. The store was Inaugurated by Dr. Gazalla Noor – former General Secretary Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The store is owned by two young female entrepreneurs namely Iqra Nazir and Afshan Burza both MBA graduates defying all odds and making their way for achieving their dreams.
The store provides a complete makeup range, Pro Makeup series, hair and skincare, bath and body, jewelry , accessories and decor, Sanitary and lingerie, appliances and personal care, designer apparels, woman authorized supplements, impulsive bites, gifts and goodies.
The store apart from providing quality products and services will have the availability of owners eveyday”, said Iqra Nazir, one of the owner
Ifshan burza added, “We did, what we wanted. We choose dream over job. Here in Kashmir, people study something and end up doing something else but we got the full support of family after facing up and downs too for this drwam”.
In collaboration with small scale women entrepreneurs,the store will be equally providing important services with the focus on women health which have not been pro casted yet including various sessions on mental health, hygiene, derma and physio session along with grooming and makeup session too, for which the date will be announced to the general public soon.
